The Role

When it comes to HR, we are living a mindset based on business orientation, agility and operational excellence whilst believing our purpose is to create value for the organisation and employees. We are now looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Australia HR team at RWE, acting as a trusted advisor to the business and helping to translate organisational strategy into people-focused initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset, understand business needs and leverage people insights to support leaders through growth, transformation and change.

Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders on all aspects of HR to ensure HR genuinely adds value, providing HR policy expertise, consultancy and guidance on employee-related matters.

Build and maintain trusted working relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders at all levels, understanding their needs and supporting the achievement of business objectives.

Proactively support the delivery of HR processes across the business, ensuring a high level of service and operational excellence.

Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters and HR projects in collaboration with business leaders and HR colleagues.

Lead end-to-end organisational change initiatives, ensuring all activities are delivered in a controlled manner and in compliance with Australian employment legislation and organisational policies.

Build and maintain effective relationships with employee representative groups and other stakeholders where applicable, supporting constructive consultation and negotiation processes.

Provide guidance and support on industrial relations matters, including consultation processes, Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and workplace policy interpretation.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of Australian employment legislation, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with Legal as required.

Use workforce insights, people data and organisational metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making and support business performance.

Partner with leaders to identify future workforce capability requirements, succession needs and organisational effectiveness opportunities that support business growth.

Act as a driver of performance improvement and positive change in people management practices.

Provide guidance and input on organisational design, team structures and workforce planning.

Identify gaps, risks and opportunities, proposing and implementing pragmatic solutions.

Coach and support leaders on performance management, employee engagement, leadership capability and organisational effectiveness.

Partner closely with other HR Business Partners and Centres of Expertise to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.

Ensure outstanding customer focus and operational excellence at all times.

Qualifications

Academic background in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline with a strong people management focus.

Significant experience in a generalist HR Business Partner role within a fast-paced, commercial and delivery-focused environment.

Demonstrated experience managing employee and industrial relations matters within the Australian employment framework.

Proven experience working with employee representative groups, unions and/or industrial relations matters within a complex organisational environment.
