You will be part of a collaborative and internationally distributed team, with opportunities to work across projects, share knowledge, and continue to develop your technical and professional skills.

About the role

As part of a group of hydrographic specialists, you will:

Coordinate the collation and review of survey data, to ensure our surveys deliver consistent, high-quality and accurate outputs

Work closely with the Senior Surveyors to align with current best-practice, share knowledge with the team, provide clear technical advice for informed decision making, and ensuring that appropriate standards are followed

Bring experience in aspects such as UXO and geohazards identification and mitigation, mapping of seabed and subsurface features, and hydrographic and topographical data management

Have willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required, as well as providing some occasional technical support outside standard working hours as part of a wider survey team

Role requirements and experience

We welcome applications from candidates with a range of backgrounds and experience levels. As an RWE Hydrographic Surveyor you will ideally bring the following skills and experiences:

MSc in (or equivalent degree or suitable experience in) hydrographic survey, or in a relevant geospatial discipline

Experience of or practical exposure to shallow water hydrographic surveys

Experience working with large and varied hydrographic datasets (e.g. gridded and ungridded MBES, CARIS projects, and surface and subsea navigation data), including quality control and review

Experience reviewing technical reports and managing large technical datasets

Familiarity with current and emerging hydrographic and nearshore survey techniques, and industry specialist software (e.g. ArcGIS, CARIS, Qinsy/Qimera, EIVA etc.)

Commitment to and good knowledge of current UK health, safety and environmental legislation, sound operational understanding of industry technical codes and UK regulatory requirements for offshore wind surveys

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams with clear communication skills

Benefits

The opportunity to contribute to the global energy transition and large‑scale offshore wind developments

A collaborative, diverse and inclusive working environment within a global organisation

Opportunities for learning, development, and career progression

Exposure to a wide range of projects across the full lifecycle of offshore wind farms
