Lead Piping Engineer (m/f/d) – e-Fuels & PtX Plants

We are a pioneering company in the field of e-fuels, SAF, and e-kerosene. Using our innovative chemical reactor technology, we produce synthetic fuels and sustainable chemical products from greenhouse gases such as CO₂ and renewable electricity. Our plants make a decisive contribution to the energy transition.To support our growth, we are looking for a Lead Piping Engineer (m/f/d) who will shape our plants from initial concept through to commissioning. In this role, you will take technical ownership of piping concepts, develop efficient plant layouts, and ensure that our systems are implemented safely, economically, and in a scalable way.

Your tasks

Maintain and develop structures and standards in piping engineering

Establish unified piping standards, clear engineering workflows, and a robust template landscape

Provide technical leadership and manage external engineering service providers

Design piping systems, develop plant layouts, and perform detailed engineering for primary and secondary steel structures (preferred tools: AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Inventor)

Conduct design reviews in both modular plant construction and conventional refinery piping projects (e.g., large pipe racks, long-distance routing)

Develop layout concepts for modular production plants

Create overall plant layout plans, including peripheral systems

Your profile

Degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable field

At least 7 years of experience in piping engineering within the chemical or petrochemical industry

Strong expertise in piping design, plant layout, and primary and secondary steel structures

Proficient in tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D or Autodesk Inventor

Good command of German and English, both written and spoken
